International Conference on “National Strategy of Azerbaijan
Republic on Increasing Transparency and Combating Corruption” Conference included presentation of the National Strategy and such matters as transparency in combating corruption and good governance, transparency and governance of state finances, National Strategy as means of observance and execution of standards reflected in international documents and in their monitoring mechanisms (United Nations and Council of Europe), role of governance, law supremacy and civil society in the National Strategy etc. Representatives of Azerbaijan public authorities and NGOs, experts of U.S. Department of Justice, USAID and Council of Europe participated at the Conference. Member of the Information and Cooperation Network of NGOs in the area
of Combating Corruption, president of the National Confederation of
Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic Alakbar
Mammadov participated at the conference as a moderator of the break
out group on economic and social activities.
