Improvement of knowledge of municipalities in the area of entrepreneurship and business activity

Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and Eurasia Foundation signed grant contract on implementation of the project “Improvement of knowledge of municipalities in the area of entrepreneurship and business activity” on 3rd May, 2007. The main objective of the project is improvement of knowledge of municipalities in the area of legislation, entrepreneurship and business activity.

Measures to be realized in the framework of the project

1. Conducting of surveys, competitions, focus groups and round tables for determination of need to business education
2. Systematization of results and formation of educational groups
3. Preparation and publication of educational modules for organization of trainings and seminars
4. Trainings
5. Assistance to preparation of pilot business projects
6. Feedback and consulting services

Expected results and long-term influence of the project

Acquisition of knowledge in the area of entrepreneurship and business activity will create opportunities for municipalities in finding of business ideas, in more professional approach to implementation of business projects, rational using of available human and material resources, and application in practice of marketing and management methods.

Knowledge acquisition in mentioned area will also assist to municipalities in evaluation of economic and social development perspectives of their territories, in preparation of medium- and long-term plans for development.

Creation of feedback with Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and rendering of consulting services by Confederation will provide long-term and permanent business education.
