Capacity building of employers organizations on productivity and competitiveness

Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation has successfully implemented with support of the International Labour Organization the project “Capacity building of employers’ organizations on productivity and competitiveness in Azerbaijan” and achieved certain results in project progress.

In order to continue the project achievements, to enlarge the network of trainers on productivity and competitiveness, to expand the project’s coverage and to supply Center on Productivity and Competitiveness by professional trainers, Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation has held the second phase of training of trainers from 04 to 06 April 2007.

15 trainers from different regional representations of Confederation were trained in the framework of the course. They will be able to use knowledge, achieved in trainings, in seminars on education of entrepreneurs on productivity and competitiveness to be held in 9 regions of Azerbaijan (Ismayilly, Sheki, Zagatala, Bilesuvar, Imishli, Shamakhy, Masally, Hajigabul, Dashkesen) from 23 May to 15 June, 2007.

The objectives of the seminars are education of entrepreneurs on productivity and competitiveness, determination of productivity indicators as means of increase of their concurrence, quality, productivity and competitiveness, presentation of detailed information on principles of quality management (TQM, ISO 9000 etc.), international and national legislation on productivity and competitiveness.

Preparation of appropriate proposals and recommendations by entrepreneurs in the area of capacity building of employers’ organizations on productivity and competitiveness is advisable during discussions. Besides, “Productivity and Competitiveness” guide book prepared in the framework of the project will be presented for seminar participants.
